Living as a peacemaker requires courage. It means taking up the tools God has given us and jumping into the midst of life. It calls for self-control and a readiness to take responsibility for our own choices, words, and behavior. It involves a willingness to speak the truth in love.
This week we’ll look at the cost of speaking truth apart from love as well as the harm we do when we extend grace apart from truth. Jesus gives us great examples of healthy communication styles–always offering both truth and love.
As makers-of-peace, we want our relationships to be based on honor and mutual respect, understanding that others matter and so do we. Let’s take a look at what God’s Road Map, the Bible says about operating in truth and love. Let’s live bringing God’s peace to earth as it is in heaven.
