Week 14 Study–Journey of Speaking Blessings

Looking at Jesus and the early training of His disciples, we see that He spoke blessings over them. He called them the “salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13-14) even though, at the time, they appeared to be neither. Yet He saw them with His Father’s eyes. He saw who they were created to be, and He spoke it to them.

Like Jesus, our words have great influence in the lives of those around us. Last week we looked at the blessings that come to us from having a tamed, well-instructed tongue. This week let’s look at how our words can bless, and sometimes literally change the course of someone’s life.
