The Invitation: “I should just refer to this season as an ongoing lane change,” a friend recently said, and I thought the analogy was perfect for how I feel. Everything is changing and everyone is trying to adjust to the changes being made. Fluid is the word I use to describe future plans.
Yet in the midst of this season, I remind myself that God remains faithful and steadfast. He can be trusted with my concerns and needs and I can remain at peace.
They will have no fear of bad news;
their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
–Psalm 112:7 (NIV)
Steadfast: firmly fixed in place; immovable;
firm in belief, determination, or adherence
Your Response: Lord, in the midst of all the changes happening in this season, what is the key to keeping my heart steadfast?
How does this make a difference in my life and in the lives of those around me?
(Take a few minutes and respond to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you what you need to live this out.)
